Inktober is one of the most popular drawing challenges out there, created by Jake Parker in order to improve his inking skills and create drawing habits.

Now, i’ve taken the chance to do it this year to improve MY drawing skills, habits and also becoming more aware of something else: the everyday things that make me happy.

That’s why I created my own Inktober Prompt List 2016 that you can download below for free!

Inktober is great for all of you who want to develop your drawing skills and be a bit more disciplined when it comes to do something daily for 31 days.

The rules for being part of Inktober are simple:

1) Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want).

2) Post it online

3) Hashtag it with #inktober and #inktober2016

4) Repeat

So it’s pretty simple!

Some of the materials I will be using this year are:

Canson’s XL Croquis 90 grams: i love this paper! Bought it for only USD 15 at an art supply store in Palermo, Buenos Aires.

Windsor & Newton’s Ink 958 Crimson: Windsor & Newton is one of my favourite brands and this ink is extremely beautiful. The color, a deep red, looks amazing and works great to get out of my confort “black” zone to experiment with different shades when outlining my illustrations.

Casan 0.5 brush: don’t really know this brand, but the brush is thin enough to outline small details!

Windsor & Newton Watercolor Set (x12): Oh, you, Windsor & Newton! Once again falling for this brand’s watercolors. I will use them in some occasions to add a bit more of colour in my illustrations.

I will be posting some videos on my youtube channel about the project and my creative process! Stay tuned and say hi!

You will be able to see all of my inktober illustrations down below once the month is over, but they will be also available online on my facebook page, twitter and instagram!
